John
14:27
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

I'm curious how many Christians truly appreciate the beautiful truth that peace is our inheritance. Jesus has left us with peace. It is foundational and cannot be taken away from us by any circumstance. He means exactly that when He says, "I give to you, not as the world gives."
Because we are saved, we have comforting peace with God. We are at peace with God because of our faith in Christ's atoning work, who serves as the propitiation for our sins. He who, on our behalf, made peace with God.
Even through the darkest days and most trying situations, we have the great peace of God that surpasses all comprehension. We submit to His lead and follow His example by saying: "Not my will but Thine be done." Because we are in eternal unity with our Saviour and can experience beautiful communion with the Father as we walk in spirit and truth, we have Christ's own perfect peace.
The Lord left behind a remarkable legacy of inner peace. His wonderful gospel of peace is to be spread worldwide. To a world of strife, broken lives, and great suffering so that all who believe in Him will enjoy peace with God and the wonderful peace of God. Humanity yearns for perfect harmony, but without Christ, there can be no peace on earth.
There is no rest outside of Him, and there is no hope unless we are reconciled to the Father through Christ Jesus, who gave His own little flock His gift of peace when He said, "My Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you."
The Lord understands that the only form of peace that this world can provide is peace of mind based on favourable circumstances. If the world can alleviate our anxieties — whether through health insurance, retirement savings, medicine or gadgets — then the world can offer us a little peace of mind.
But Jesus asserts, "not as the world gives do I give to you" in the midst of verse 27. Thus, his peace is not founded in favourable conditions. Despite unfortunate situations, it is given and continues to rule. In John 16:33, Jesus states, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
In other words, the world will not understand our peace. That is why Paul refers to "the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding" in Philippians 4:7. Human comprehension is incapable of producing or comprehending it. It is the peace of God. That harmony only exists between Jesus and his Father. "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you," says Verse 27. I'm not bringing you peace. I'm sharing my peace with you. I am bringing you into my peace.
Jesus brings us into the same peace that he enjoys with His Father. What kind of peace is that? Perfect peace. He satisfied God's justice and purchased our forgiveness. And nothing — and nobody — will be able to take it away.
Jesus says he offers peace despite difficulty, adversity, suffering, and heartache. He can bring you inner serenity, not the kind the world brings, which gives rise to the assurance that He is carrying out His purpose in us. He will lead us to the resolution of our troubles. He will quieten the waves and the storm. We slumber in the boat, content in the knowledge that the ship, which possesses the Master of the ocean, earth, and sky, cannot be swallowed by water.
The Lord continues, "Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." It implies you don't have to be upset, anxious, tired, or frightened. Allow your hearts to be at peace. How? By returning to that resting place in Jesus. We have an amazing Saviour and great salvation.
