Exodus 39:
42-43
According to all that the Lord had commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did all the work. Then Moses looked over all the work, and indeed they had done it; as the Lord had commanded, just so they had done it. And Moses blessed them.

God had given Moses instructions on how to build the Tabernacle so that He may dwell inside. He gave Moses specific instructions to follow, details that must have sounded overwhelming at that moment. Nevertheless, Moses acknowledged that when God speaks, it is time to listen. The Lord does nothing without purpose, speaks nothing without reason, and reveals nothing haphazardly. He never says an empty word, and we can be confident that everything has a reason.
Moses recognized the significance of obedience. He was absolutely and utterly obedient to the Tabernacle's instructions and revelation, following God's commands to the letter. Moses didn't start and then stop, nor did he have his own timetable or schedule. He completed what God assigned Him to do on God's timetable and in accordance with God's explicit instructions.
The Tabernacle construction was arduous and involved following the Lord's precise directions. More significantly, it was a building deserving of his presence. Moses received precise instructions from God on the size, composition, materials, and decorations. Given the challenging conditions the children of Israel worked in, it is noteworthy that they took great care to complete the task at hand without cutting corners or using subpar materials. The workers who built the Tabernacle in the wilderness were doing it for the Lord, and a job well done was the least their God deserved.
They were working for the Lord. The calibre of their work was evidence of their sincere devotion to him. Because the children of Israel had completed as the Lord instructed, Moses reviewed their work and gave them a blessing (Exodus 39:42-43). The reward was God's presence; the "Cloud of Glory filled the Tabernacle" (Exodus 40:34-38). The groundwork had been completed to worship God appropriately and live out their part of the covenant relationship.
Details, Details, Details. The expression "the devil is in the details" is undoubtedly one you've heard. You might not be aware, but the Lord cares about the details! He wants those who take their spiritual life seriously to be faithful and demonstrate their faithfulness in major issues but in minor details too.
We are called to demonstrate our discipleship by being faithful to God in the minor things of our lives. Those who serve the Lord successfully in their daily lives are just being faithful. Faithfulness can take various forms, but it never includes shortcuts or half measures. God desires faithfulness, especially in the complexities of our lives. Actions that are harmonious with God's Word will get His full blessing and glory.
Moses meticulously followed the Lord's word. How cautious are we? Although we seek the same results, we have different expectations. We want God's blessings and His glory, but we often take the easy way out or, at the very least, do things our way.
How much more would we experience God's blessings and be able to see His glory in us if we built our "sanctuary" in accordance with God's blueprint—His Word?
Allow the Lord of Glory to dwell in you richly. Let your life be constructed on the Solid Rock as you prepare a dwelling place suited for the presence of the King for Him by attentively following the pattern given to us in God's Word.
"Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."
1 Corinthians 3:16-17
