We live in a world that offers a wide range of choices. Everything from toilet paper to cryptocurrency is available. While having a lot of options is beneficial to our well-being, having too many options can lead to being overwhelmed and indecisiveness. We might hesitate, which can be crippling when making big decisions with far-reaching consequences.
The world has ingrained into us that we're capable of handling any situation. Many of these strategies rely on man's ability rather than God's. But God sees the entire picture and understands what's ahead of you and what you're missing.
If we're honest with ourselves, we enjoy being in charge and avoiding anything that causes us to lose control of a situation. That is why Psalm 46:10 advises, "Be still," implying that we should quit relying on our own strength to accomplish our goals. Seek God's wisdom for assistance; scripture instructs us to "trust in the Lord with all your heart and rely not on your own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5). When we rely on our own judgement, we may become confused and concerned about missing crucial information or making the wrong decision. However, when we go to God for solutions, He will "direct your paths" (v. 6). He'll provide us with clarity and peace while we make daily decisions.
God doesn't want us to be paralyzed or overpowered by the weight of our decisions. When we submit our concerns to Him in prayer, we can find comfort in the wisdom and direction He provides.
The Christian life is one in which we live in submission to God. Remember, when you are been born again, you live your life for Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:15). This indicates that God is present in every aspect of your life and activities. He wants to make sure you're on the proper track at all times. He is your ally and will assist you when you are unsure of what to do. He would never abandon you or abandon you when you are in need.
Your path will be steady and stable if you trust God with all of your heart.
